Nowadays a lot of people thing that there is no need in television as we have the Internet. Others believe that TV is still relevant and that the Internet cannot substitute it.
In my opinion, the Internet is much more convenient than the television. First of all, the Internet has more content that you may find interesting than TV. On the Internet you can watch any shows. listen to any songs or read any books, whereas the television offers you the things that you may not even want to watch. Besides, the Internet containts a lot less advertising than TV. On the Internet you have various tools to block the advertising and it will no longer bother you, whereas the only way to escape the advertising on the television is turning the TV off.
There is another side to the issue. People find TV more exciting than the Internet because most premieres are first shown on the TV channels and then posted on the Internet.
In spite of the convincing argument, I am sure that nowadays shows and movies can be posted on the Internet even earlier than on TV, as there are some special sites for it.
To sum up, I would like to say that I strongly believe that the Internet will substitute TV soon, as it is much more convenient and gives you a lot more freedom of choice than TV.
