Some people think that much money is needed for space investigations; others believe that it is more vital to use it for tackling the issues of the world around.
To my mind, it is crucial to take care of the well-being of humanity and nature above all. Firstly, it is crucial to provide a standard of living that benefits all peoples’ dignity. It is not quite sensible to put monetary resources into space, while lots of humans simply lack shelter, clean water, fresh food and medical help. Secondly, the ecology, being vulnerable, also requires attention. This means that big harm such as air pollution, natural resources’ depletion, deforestation, ozone layer damage is caused to our flora and fauna. Consequently, great financial support is essential for development new ways which will help to reduce these negative effects.
On the other hand, there is a common conception that studying the universe has paramount importance. First of all, population is growing and someday it simply will not be enough places for people to live. That is why new places in outer space are needed to be found for future generations to settle on.
I do not agree with the statement above as we should be realistic and think about our current abilities. The space itself is unpredictable, that is why we can not rely on its resources.
To sum up, many people claim that studying another galaxies is worthy of its’ huge costs. I think, we should think about our planet at first.
